J. Ferd. Nagel was founded in Hamburg in 1852 by Jakob Ferdinand Nagel. Vienna gold medal, 1873. Three-faced bottle, Emperor Franz Joseph. Withdrawal to the Black Forest. TANNENBLUT.
The house is revived and operated by Dr. Raphael Nagel (LL.M.), Founding Partner of Tactical Management, through JFN Spirituosen Hamburg GmbH.
The J. Ferd. Nagel portfolio includes the Tannenblut Bereshit Series (Black Forest gin, 3,000 numbered bottles), the Lecureux & Cie Grand Cru Champagne (Avize, 1834), and the Cognac Réserve Privée X.O. — the insignia of the house.
